Wrap Car in Casablanca: How Car Wrapping Works, What It Costs and How Long It Lasts
A practical guide to wrapping your car in Casablanca: how the process works, what really drives the cost, how long vinyl lasts under the Moroccan sun and how to choose a finish you will still love in three years.

A wrap car project is the quickest way to change how your car looks without touching a drop of paint. In Casablanca, where the same white, grey and black cars fill every car park, a well-chosen wrap turns a familiar model into something personal — and because it comes off again, the original paint stays protected underneath.
In Morocco the service goes by two names: covering, the French term you will hear in every workshop, and wrap. So whether you searched “wrap car in Casablanca”, “car wrap Casablanca” or “car wrapping Morocco”, this guide is for you. It explains how the process works, what drives the cost, how long vinyl lasts under our sun and how to pick a finish you will still love in three years.
What a car wrap is — and what it is not
A car wrap is a thin, flexible vinyl film, usually cast PVC, applied over the paintwork panel by panel. Heated, it stretches and follows curves; post-heated, it holds its new shape. Professional wrap films are typically around 3 to 4 mil thick and come in finishes that a paint shop struggles to match: satin, chrome, chameleon, carbon, glitter.
A wrap is not a repair, though, and it is not armour. Vinyl hides the colour of the paint underneath, not its dents or chips. It shields the original finish from UV and light scuffs, but it will not stop a stone hitting the bonnet at motorway speed — that is the job of paint protection film, covered further down.
Wrap or respray?
| Criteria | Vinyl wrap | Full respray |
|---|---|---|
| Reversible | Yes | No |
| Original paint | Preserved underneath | Replaced |
| Colour choice | 300+ shades, incl. chrome and chameleon | Limited to what paint can do |
| Resale | Original paint intact after removal | Buyers may question a non-factory colour |
| Changing your mind | Peel off and go back | Another respray |
Wrap car in Casablanca: how a project works, step by step
A good wrap is mostly preparation. This is how a project runs at our studio:
- Choose and preview your colour. Upload a photo of your own car on our covering page and the AI preview shows the shade you picked on it — or send the photo on WhatsApp.
- Inspection and quote. We check the paint for repainted panels, chips or failing clear coat, because vinyl adheres best to healthy factory paint, and confirm full or partial coverage.
- Preparation. Deep wash, decontamination and degreasing. Where needed, handles, badges, lights or trims are removed so the film can be tucked behind the edges.
- Application. Each panel is wrapped with heat and controlled tension; seams go where they are least visible and edges are folded around the panel ends.
- Post-heating and inspection. The film is heated to lock its shape so it does not pull back from recesses, then checked under studio light.
- Handover. You leave with care instructions for your specific finish.
Everything happens in a controlled indoor studio, which matters more than people think: wind and dust are the enemies of a clean install. A full wrap typically takes a few days, and the exact timeline is confirmed at the visit.
Finishes and colours: choosing your look
Our range counts 300+ shades across five collections — Gloss, Matte, Metallic, Chrome and Chameleon — plus satin, carbon, crystal ultra-gloss and glitter films. Each finish lives differently day to day:
| Finish | Look | Living with it |
|---|---|---|
| Gloss / crystal ultra-gloss | Deep, paint-like shine | Easy to wash; dark gloss shows swirls |
| Satin | Soft sheen, very current | Easy care, no wax |
| Matte | Flat and stealthy | Matte-specific products; shows oily marks |
| Metallic | Flake that catches the light | Forgiving day to day |
| Chrome | Mirror effect | Spectacular, the most delicate to live with |
| Chameleon | Shifts colour with the angle | Striking, best on curvy bodies |
A few examples from the catalogue: super matte black for the classic stealth look, crystal Nardo grey for a motorsport-inspired gloss grey, satin shadow midnight green for something quietly different, and magic chameleon volcano grey if you want the colour to move.
Under the Casablanca sun, lighter and metallic shades are generally more forgiving than deep matte black, which absorbs heat and shows every fingerprint. That is not a reason to avoid black — just a reason to choose it knowingly.
Car wrap cost in Morocco: what drives the price
There is no single price for a wrap, because two variables dominate: the car and the film. That is why we work with two levels:
- Covering Économique pack — a fixed price of 3,500 MAD for an accessible change of look.
- Original range — the full palette of 300+ shades and finishes, priced on quote per car and per film.
Within the Original range, these are the factors that move the quote:
- Size and body complexity. A Golf is not a Range Rover, and flat panels are quicker to wrap than deep bumpers and vents.
- Film type. Chrome and chameleon films cost more and are harder to work than a gloss or satin colour.
- Full or partial. A roof, mirrors or bonnet cost a fraction of a full wrap.
- Door shuts and details. Wrapping inside the door jambs gives a more complete colour change but adds labour.
- Paint condition. Any correction needed before the film goes on.
Partial wrap ideas on a smaller budget
Partial covering is where many projects start: a gloss black roof, black mirror caps, a contrasting bonnet, or dechroming — covering the chrome window surrounds and grille in black for a sportier look. It changes the character of the car for a fraction of the full-wrap budget, and it is just as reversible.
How long does a car wrap last in Morocco?
A professionally installed wrap generally lasts between 3 and 7 years, depending mainly on the quality of the film and on sun exposure. In Morocco, UV and heat are the deciding factors: horizontal surfaces such as the roof, bonnet and boot lid age first because they face the sun all day.
To reach the upper end of that range:
- Park in the shade or a covered car park whenever possible.
- Hand wash with a pH-neutral shampoo, and rinse off sand and dust first.
- Avoid station brush washes, which scratch and dull vinyl.
- Clean bird droppings, sap and fuel spills quickly, before the heat bakes them on.
- Keep the pressure-washer lance well away from edges and seams.
- Use finish-specific products — no wax or polish on matte or satin.
Legal note: for a full colour change, check whether your carte grise needs to be updated and inform your insurer. Rules and practice can evolve, so ask the relevant authority and your insurance company before or right after the wrap.
Wrap, PPF or both?
A wrap changes colour; paint protection film absorbs impacts. If you drive the Casa–Rabat motorway every day, the stone-chip question matters as much as the colour, which is why people comparing PPF Casablanca studios and people looking for a wrap often end up in the same conversation. There are three sensible routes:
- Vinyl wrap for maximum colour choice and budget control — see our covering and car wrap service.
- Colour PPF, a thick, self-healing TPU film that changes the colour and protects — compared in detail in colour PPF vs vinyl wrap.
- Clear PPF on a car whose colour you already love — see our paint protection film service and the complete PPF guide for Morocco.
Before you book: a quick checklist
- Is the paint original? Repainted panels can lift when a wrap is removed later.
- Any chips or deep scratches? Vinyl hides colour, not texture; fix them first with polishing and paint correction.
- Is the car leased (LLD/LOA)? A wrap is reversible and keeps the original paint in restitution condition, but check your contract for rules on modifications.
- Selling soon? Buyers on Avito or Moteur.ma value original paint, and a wrap preserves it underneath.
- Can you live with the finish? Chrome and matte black look incredible in photos and ask for more care.
- Have you seen it on your own car? A swatch under studio lights and a whole car in the street are two different things.
See your colour on your car before you decide
The best way to choose is to see it. On our covering page you can upload a photo of your own car and the AI preview shows the colour you picked on it; the same works on WhatsApp. When you are ready, leave your name and phone number in the booking form and the team calls you back, or simply send us a message on WhatsApp.
Our studio is in Casablanca, in the Jnane Californie area on boulevard Ed Daouha, open by appointment Monday to Saturday from 9:00 to 19:00. We also welcome clients driving in from Rabat, Mohammedia, Bouskoura, Dar Bouazza and Marrakech.
Frequently asked questions
At Carlike in Casablanca, the Covering Économique pack is a fixed price of 3,500 MAD, while the full Original range of 300+ shades is priced on quote per car and per film. Partial wraps such as a roof, mirrors or dechroming cost a fraction of a full wrap.
A professionally installed wrap generally lasts 3 to 7 years, depending on the film and how much sun the car gets. Covered parking, hand washing and avoiding brush car washes help it last longer.
On healthy factory paint, a wrap removed professionally comes off cleanly, and it protects the paint from UV and light scuffs while it is on. Repainted or damaged panels carry a risk of lifting, which is why the paint is checked at the inspection.
For a full colour change, check with the relevant authority whether your carte grise must be updated, and inform your insurer. Practice can evolve, so confirm before or right after the wrap.
Yes. Upload a photo of your own car on the Carlike covering page and the AI preview shows the chosen colour on it, or send the photo on WhatsApp and the team will do it for you.
